PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This program is designed to teach the knowledge required to become a Pharmacy Technician. This program will give participants the knowledge of History of Pharmacy, The Foundation of Pharmaceutical Care. Pharmacy Law and Ethics for Technicians, Pharmaceutical and Medical Terminology and Abbreviations, Dosage Forms, Microbiology, Immunology and Vaccines, Safety in the Workplace, Nutrition, Drug Actions and Interactions, Medication Errors, Integumentary System, Musculoskeletal System, Nervous System, Sight and Hearing, Endocrine System, Cardiovascular System, Lymphatic System, Respiratory System, Urinary System, Digestive System, Reproductive System, Basic Mathematics, Measurement Systems, Calculation of Dosages, Hospital Pharmacy Practice, Community Pharmacy, Advanced Pharmacy, Extemporaneous Prescription Compounding, Sterile Compounding, Financial Management of Pharmacy Operations, Health Insurance, Documentation, Billing, and Collections, Inventory Control, Computers in the Pharmacy, Communications.
The course has online interactive presentation to keep the learners engaged in the learning process. Various quizzes are available within each module to evaluate the learner’s outcome, these quizzes will give the learner the feedback about their progress into the course as they proceed from one module to another.
This course is designed for learner’s who want to advance their career and are unable to do so, due to their work and person obligations.
