Dental Assistant are professionals that assist dentist in performing procedures under the supervision of a dentist, the task performed are various ranging from providing patient care and taking x rays to record-keeping and scheduling appointments. Their duties vary by state and by the dentists’ offices where they work. As per the bureau of labor and statistics “Almost all dental assistants work in dentists’ offices. Most work full time.” The future of dental assistants: Employment of dental assistants is projected to grow 19 percent from 2016 to 2026, that is much faster than the average for all occupations. The aging population and ongoing research linking oral health problems and general health problems will continue to increase and so will the demand of the preventive dental services.

Americation Career and Training School's Online Dental Assistant Program is a basic entry level program for students to pursue a career in the healthcare field. This course is designed to introduce dental assisting students to the issues and concepts related to the field of dentistry and dental assisting. The program has been designed to meet the needs of a basic entry level dental assistant. This program will give participants the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, preventive dentistry, patient care and communication, radiology, pharmacology, anesthesia, assisting in specialty practices, employment strategies, and much more. Numerous videos and animations are available within the program module and various quizzes are also available to evaluate the learner’s outcome, these quizzes will give the learner the feedback about their progress into the course as they proceed from one module to another. This course is designed for learner’s who want to advance their career and are unable to do so, due to their work and person obligations.
